| Q |
Will I see
or speak to a physician at the time of my visit? |
| A |
If you have a screening mammogram,
you will not see a physician. If you have symptoms, this would require
a diagnostic work-up. If you have a diagnostic mammogram or sonogram,
the radiologist will discuss your films and the outcome of the exam(s). |

|
| Q |
Who reads my mammogram
films? |
| A |
We have two reading radiologists.
Dr. Steve Clifford is in house and Dr. Venugopal, who also runs a
breast care clinic in Southlake, TX. |
| |
|
| Q |
If I need a biopsy will
I have to miss very much work? |
| A |
The day of biopsy and the following
day. |
| |
|
| Q |
Will I need someone to
provide transportation after the procedure is done? |
| A |
We ask if you can bring someone
only because driving may cause undue pressure on the biopsy site. |
| |
|
| Q |
Does the physician require
my past mammogram films? |
| A |
We request prior films for comparison
if they are available. Requesting prior films is in the best interest
of the patient because this minimizes the callbacks and undue expense
of future testing. |
