After completing medical school, Dr. Priya Venugopal developed an interest in radiology and mammography, and joined the research department of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. There she worked on the development of Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) of breast cancer and was involved in the field trials of several products out in the market today including R2 and ICAD. She then completed her residency in radiology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, followed by a Fellowship in Breast Imaging at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. She began her working career at Moffitt as well, with a joint appointment at the University of South Florida as Assistant Professor of Radiology.
